Five weeks pregnant! I couldn't believe it. The doctor was surprised, too. I just saw him for my ovarian cyst a week earlier and we were discussing about me going on the pill. Since I have positive ANA (Antinuclear Antibody) and tested positive for Lupus, I worried I would miscarry again. There was nothing we can do to prevent miscarriage so Ray and I decided to pray for our little one everyday. We asked our family and close friends to pray for us, too.

Today was my first prenatal visit. I am thankful that I am still pregnant. So far, everything is ok. The morning sickness found me last week. Ugh! But Ray is so happy about it...he thinks that morning sickness is very good for the baby.

My second prenatal visit went good. I only gained half pound from the last visit. The blood works were good. The doctor couldn't pick up little miracle's heartbeat by the Doppler so he let us have the ultrasound. It was great to see our little baby moving around so much and got to see the little heart beating. The heart rate was 167 bpm. The tech said that everything looked good. We were on cloud 9 but not for long. :o)

I start to feel the quickening but more like "a bubble bursting". The doctor was able to pick up the heartbeat by the Doppler. He said that the heartbeat sounded good and very strong. I only gained 3 pounds from the last appt. The morning sickness seem to be subsided. Whew! The level 2 ultrasound is scheduled on Dec. 19th, a day before Chase's second birthday. Hopefully, our little miracle will spread out its legs for us to see. Ray thinks we are having a boy. In my heart, I want a boy but I think it's a girl sooo we'll see.

The ultrasound is cancelled. :o(

Chase's Heavenly birthday is tmw. I can't believe it has been two years. I remember that day pretty clear like it was yesterday. So tomorrow after work, we are going to the "Festival of Lights" at Life College in Marietta, a suburb, just south from where we live. We decided to make it a family tradition of going out to see the lights around the town on Chase's birthday every year.

I finally sent out the Xmas cards along with the letter in them yesterday. I didn't realize until this morning when I reread the letter...I made several mistakes. For example, I said "paternal grandfather" passed away which I meant to say "maternal grandfather". Argh! Guess I had too many things on my mind lately.

I had the ultrasound today!!! Guess who Chase picked out...a little girl! I guess Chase wants to be a guardian angel to his little sister. It was so wonderful to "see" the baby moving around and she wasn't very shy at all. LOL! We have decided to name our lil' miracle - Aimee Raylene Unger!

Everything looked good. Aimee is doing great but is measured a week behind her due date. Becca, my midwife, said not to worry and that it's alright and we will look at that matter later. Of course, I'm worry but I'll try to think positive for my little girl! I gained only 3 lbs from last appt which make it 6 1/2 pounds totally. Not bad! Huh?
